Following the recent earthquake that impacted various regions of Myanmar, City Holdings — through our CSR arm, City Love & Hope — continues to support communities as they move from emergency response into the critical phase of recovery and rebuilding.
While the immediate danger has passed, many families are still in need of basic infrastructure and resources to return to normal life. Our current focus is on helping these communities restore access to clean water, lighting, and essential living needs. In the Following area,
- Mandalay Region: Sein Pan, Hmaik Su wards
- Sagaing Region: Kyauk Ta, Yaykha Inn villages
- Nay Pyi Taw: Thit Won Tine Rescue Camp, Tha Yet Taw Monastery
Support provided so far includes:
- Repairing wells and water reservoirs
- Supplying emergency drinking and household water
- Installing temporary solar lighting
- Distributing mats and bedding
Looking ahead, we are also committed to the reconstruction of Fountaw Oo Monastic School, which was severely damaged in the quake. The school serves as both an educational institution and residence for nearly 8,000 students and 900 monks. Construction work has already begun, and we are working to ensure the school is rebuilt to serve the community safely and sustainably.
At City Holdings, we remain committed to walking alongside our communities — not just in times of crisis, but throughout the long journey of healing and rebuilding. Through City Love & Hope, we will continue to invest in meaningful, sustainable recovery efforts that improve lives and restore hope.
